I have been raving about moms (women) in the workforce but what exactly are the mommy bloggers thinking? I am a single mom with three children, I had to literally carry my oldest child (then age 3) on my hip until my third trimester with the second child. My last child weighed 9lbs 14ozs and I carried him in a sling until he was about 15 1/2 to 16lbs. So, I get the point of Motrin trying to say, carrying the babies on the body on a daily basis will cause muscle pain and soreness.
Mommy bloggers obviously have a substantial amount of influence but they need to apply their knowledge to public relations activities in their communities and spend their extra time with their children.

I didn't find that ad very offensive. I understand what they're trying to do or say, and I understand the "mothers" opposing view, but face it holding a baby or more than one and carrying other items can cause aches or even stress and when the mommy goes to take something for it, Motrin is just saying to take their brand over others.
I'm sorry. I do not understand the "mothers'" opposing views. I feel they are just super sensitive. But I do agree that Motrin was trying to make sure that its brand is chosen over others. For the record, I love Motrin (especially the Berry flavor for kids).
I agree, it didn't appear to be offensive. I just think Motrin was trying to specifically target a group. It happened to be mommies; great grab! The particular group of mommies that took offense obviously did not look at both sides of the coin. As you pointed out LaKeisha, being a mom is stressful work; I see it all day everyday. I knew that I wasn't up for that challenge!
I agree with everyone's comments thus far; however, there was one part of the commercial that I could as being "offensive"... When the ad said something along the lines of, "wearing a sling makes me look like an "official" MOM"...(this was where the Hello my name is Mom tag was shown in the ad). I'm not sure that I've quoted the line directly, but that was the only part of the commercial that I could see as being interpreted as offensive. Otherwise, in my opinion, things were blown WAY out of proportion.
